With a love for polyrhythms, global grooves, and a healthy suspicion of “harmonic mixing”, their sets encompass a variety of genres, never lingering too long in one place. Setting out to find a musical context for the island and South Asia’s beats to enter the dancefloor, they have recently honed in on Brazilian baile funk as a compatible rhythm.
Whether it’s an upbeat party setting or a chilled out lounging atmosphere, imaDJinn is ready to deliver the vibe, from long-winding sets exploring the psychedelic funk of the 60s around the globe, to club shakers that celebrate South Asian sounds in a global context.
